NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is how the Australian Government funds the costs associated with having a permanent and significant disability. This assists people with disability and their families to access supports needed. The NDIS is overseen by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

NDIS have an "Am I eligible checklist?" If you are eligible, you need to submit an access request form or make a verbal application by calling 1800 800 110. You will require evidence to confirm your disability.

A Local Area Coordinator (LAC) will help you to understand and use your plan. A Support Coordinator if funded in your plan, will help you use your plan to achieve your goals, live more independently and be included in your community and employment.
